Britt and I chatting with each other after I get home from a long day (this day was a long day) of work, and as he is getting his day started. We've adjusted well to our 16 hour time differance, but are really looking forward to being in the same time zone here soon. You've got to love the helicopter traffic reporter headsets.....lol
This is for all our friends and family, who we wish we could keep in touch with more often. Hopefully this will help to keep you all updated on what is happening with Britt and I. You are all in our hearts and on our minds. God Bless.

A quiet week inport
Not much happening this week. Still enjoying time with Britt, while he's inport......though we're only able to chat and see each other via webcam, it is a blessing and I love every minute we can share. I took three days off this week, and it was wonderful. I didn't have anywhere I needed to be, I didn't have a to-do list starring at me waiting to be accomplished, nor did I have a steady stream of phone calls and knocks on the door with "Chief, I've got a quick question." They're never quick. As much as I love my job and love being a Chief, I still need a break from time to time. I would've much perferred to take a break with my main squeeze, but we made the best of it. I took the days off to to re-generate my batteries, relax, and spend as much time as I could with Britt. I also got my hair done, went to Pilates and relaxed on the patio. I finished The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks, which was an AMAZING READ! Other than that, it was three days of sleeping in, which were priceless.
I love that smile
The new hair do, had the layers put back in, and love it.

Missing you
Britt is currently inport. He is stationed on the USS COWPENS, homeported out of Yokosuka Japan. It's been wonderful, being able to see him and chat via web cam in the morning, evenings and when we're both not working. Webcam has become an absolute necessity between us. I don't know how Grandma and Grandpa did it with only letters between them. Though, I know how precious the little things are that are sent between us. I've saved every card and note that he has sent, and I know that he's done the same.....if not, he'll start after reading this....;)

Transfer of duty stations
USS VICKSBURG
Britt transfers from USS VICKSBURG to JTF GTMO. Yes, after a 6 month tour, he was headed back down in Apr 07 for another year. I didn't mind, as I was still there, eagerly waiting to see him again.
As Britt got settled in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, I transferred in Jul 07 to Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE. For three years with the BEES in Sunny San Diego. Yes, that is me under there.......
